Man beaten with crowbar for wearing Trump shirt
The 62-year-old male victim told Bloomfield police that he was walking on West Passaic Avenue on August 3 when a man in an older-model, grey vehicle began to razz him about his Donald Trump t-shirt.

The man then got out of his auto with a crowbar, and during an altercation, struck the older man several times, authorities said.
The victim was treated at the scene.
The attacker was driving along West Passaic Avenue when he spotted the victim walking and stopped to ask him about the shirt, the victim said.
When the victim approached a nearby Friendly’s restaurant, the unhinged Trump hater reportedly got out of his vehicle with a crowbar and beat him.
Police are now searching for the attacker, who fled before they arrived.
The incident is just the latest in a recent string of assaults against supporters of the GOP presidential candidate.
“The motorist inquired why (the man) was wearing the shirt, directing profanities at him”, According to Bloomfield Police spokesman Ralph Marotti.

Later that month, a clash between protestors, Donald Trump supporters and police turned violent outside a Trump rally in Costa Mesa, CA, with reports of fistfights, broken police vehicle windows and more than 20 arrests. Even more notably, a protest in Chicago led to a Trump rally being shut down back in March, and several other rallies have resulted in riots occurring, such as in Albuquerque and San Jose.
