E’Dena Hines, 33, was found lying on the street in front of her apartment in upper Manhattan on Sunday with multiple stab wounds to the chest.

Davenport will be charged with second-degree murder.
Hines, an actress, was stabbed on the street near their apartment building and later was declared dead at a hospital.
Though Hines was Freeman’s granddaughter through a previous marriage, the relatives are reported to have been close, and the actor’s publisher told Reuters he never referred to her as a “step” relative.
Davenport’s best friend Ray Rosario said he had dinner with Miss Hines and Davenport hours before the tragedy and she seemed “ecstatic”. “Her star will proceed to shine shiny in our hearts, ideas and prayers”. “Might she relaxation in peace!”
In 2009, a US tabloid newspaper claimed that Freeman and Ms Hines were to marry.
Her ex-boyfriend was arrested and taken to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, police later said. He said he heard Davenport say “Devil, be gone, Jesus and God” during which he realized something awful was happening.
George Hudacko, who witnessed the attack from his window, told the New York Post the killer screamed “get out, devils”.
“I’m still trying to come to grips with what happened”, Rosario told the website.
The police officers had to physically restrain Davenport from continuing his attack and further brutalising Hines’ lifeless body.
Following a stint in Memphis, Tennessee, she moved back to New York last April after being cast in a small indie film called Landing Up, which began shooting in June.
“I thought I was the group cheerleader, giving them what they needed to keep going cause I was blessed with exuberant amounts of energy, but, I was more exhausted when it counted”, Hines wrote on her blog.
“My dream has come true and its just beginning”.

According to RadarOnline, six years ago insiders had revealed an alleged affair between the “The Shawshank Redemption” star and Edena Hines, during a time when the actor was divorcing his wife of 25 years, Myrna Colley-Lee.
