She was last seen alive at a local gas station attending a flat tire.

Stanley, 46, was a heroin addict.

He says Stacey hadn’t touched the drug in six months, was a devoted mom and was seemingly back on the right path, working daily and moving in with her sister for support. About six months ago, she made another effort to conquer her demons, and she appeared to be having some success.

An anonymous family member said Shawn Grate’s ex-wife, Amber Bowman, was lucky to escape with her life as the family had witnessed him going insane on more than one occasion.

Hildreth said one Christmas, he took pictures of her in tears to save.

In that respect, her story is not unlike that of thousands, particularly in the rust belt states, which have been plagued with addiction and overdoses.

Stanley’s sister had told the Mansfield News Journal she had been missing since September 8 and was last seen at an Ashland gas station when she got a flat tire.

ASHLAND, Ohio (AP) — The uncle of one of three women found dead in Ohio says he believes her disappearance helped save another woman.

A woman whispered “please hurry” to an OH police dispatcher while her alleged abductor slept just feet away.

“He’s sleeping in the bedroom …”

Woman: “I’m afraid of waking him”.

At a press conference, Ashland Chief David Marcelli said the woman was subsequently found at a home that was supposed to be unoccupied.

She said the man was armed with a Taser and that she was able to free herself from being tied up.

Ashland is a rural city about 60 miles southwest of Cleveland. Around 20 minutes later the police arrived. Officers didn’t have an exact address, so that second dispatcher had to gather information about the house and the suspect.

According to a Daily Mail story, Shawn Grate’s ex-wife’s family describes him as an abusive “monster” and “deadbeat dad”, who left his daughter when she was just six-days-old.

“She had had run-ins with the police in the past, so when we reported her missing, they said they weren’t going to look for her because she probably went somewhere to get high with someone”, Argil says.

Judge Ron Forsthoefel, via video conferencing, set a bond of $1 million for Grate, and ordered if he posted bond, he could have no contact with the kidnapping victim, a 9 p.m. -7a.m curfew and wear electronic monitoring.

But that was not the end of the story.

The woman was rescued, Grate was arrested, and authorities found the bodies of two other women in and near the home. “The remaining body has not been identified”.

It is alleged Grate could be a serial killer, as police found two bodies upon searching the house, and were led to a third body by the alleged criminal himself.

Authorities checked the Mansfield-area site Tuesday and found decomposed remains down a ravine in a wooded area behind the house.

That body has yet to be identified, and will for the time being join a list, also on the attorney general’s web site, of John Does and Jane Does classified simply as “unidentified remains”.

Hundreds of people gathered for a candlelight vigil Thursday evening in Ashland for the victims, including Stacey Stanley. “A couple of days went by before they got that 911 call”.

Especially if it’s a situation like the one you’re about to step into.

Her family is now mourning her brutal beating death. “The cops said she was unrecognizable from the beating”, he told People.

After a tense 911 call Thursday morning from a woman who said she was in the same room as her alleged kidnapper, police discovered an OH man may have kidnapped several women, at least two of which he may have murdered.

As the investigation continues, more charges could be added at a later date.
