Man charged with murder in fatal shooting of Chicago boy, 9
Dwright Boone-Doty, 22, is charged with first-degree murder in Tyshawn’s slaying on November 2, 2015, as well another murder and an attempted murder, Cook County prosecutors said Monday night. The charges amount to a total of five felonies.

According to the Sun-Times, Boone-Doty had been released from prison following convictions on firearms and narcotics charges several months before the boy’s death.
Two people are already in custody for Lee’s murder.
AWR Hawkins is the Second Amendment columnist for Breitbart News and political analyst for Armed American Radio.
Corey Morgan, 27, of Lansing, was previously charged with one count of first-degree murder in the boy’s death and was ordered held without bail.
Police did not immediately offer details about the other murder for which Boone-Doty has been charged. Chicago police are expected to update the case at a press conference at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Doty was then jailed in November on an unrelated gun charge and the Chicago Tribune reports a fellow inmate secretly recorded him bragging and laughing about killing Tyshawn and Brianna Jenkins which lead to today’s charges.
Police say through a complex operation involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Sheriff’s Department and confidential informants at the Cook County Jail, they were able to get Doty to reveal information about his involvement in the crime.
They say a long standing rivalry between two rival gangs in the neighborhood, including additional shootings and killings, planted the seeds of Tyshawn’s murder.
Witnesses saw Boone-Doty and the boy walk out of the playground together, Alvarez said. He also conducted surveillance on Tyshawn’s grandmother so he could kill her and draw out rival gang members, he said. The estranged father denies being a gang member.
Court papers provided by the prosecutor’s office said that “Tyshawn’s death is the result of a gang war” between two particular gangs that “came to a boil” after Morgan’s brother, Tracy, was shot and killed in a vehicle while with their mother on October 13. But even in a city where children are all too often the innocent victims of relentless gang warfare, Tyshawn’s killing was shocking because, according to police, he was killed for no other reason than to punish his father.
“She said Boone-Doty originally planned to kidnap the boy and torture him by cutting off his fingers and ears”. He had been arrested at the same time as Boone-Doty. It wasn’t immediately clear whether Boone-Doty has an attorney who can comment on his behalf.

Boone-Doty was paroled from the Illinois Department of Corrections in August after serving about two years on a five-year sentence in a drug case.
