A man and juvenile were found dead Wednesday morning in Dania Beach.

The shooting happened near Dania Beach Boulevard and Southwest Eighth Avenue.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office said Timothy Hollis, 32, and the mother of his children, 34-year old Lashonda Bowers, were arguing as they drove through Dania Beach on their way to a relative’s home. Once they were in this area, the mother actually left the vehicle they were in, trying to reach a relatives home to seek aid.
“The incident actually began at another location in Central Broward”, said Broward Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Gina Carter.
A 1-year-old girl was killed and a 7-year-old boy was seriously wounded and taken to the hospital, according to early reports.

Chief Deputy Eric Dietrich says responding authorities heard gunshots fired inside the home and in the direction of deputies, who returned fire. He then then fatally shot himself. This family is completely destroyed by this. Nobody was injured. Quintero was taken into custody and faces nine charges, including attempted first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer, cocaine possession and driving under the influence.
