Man City boss Guardiola leaves Pogba to Man Utd and Mourinho
-United made a world record bid for Thomas Muller that was rejected last summer, the Chief Executive at Bayern Munich revealed today.

But former Blue Trevor Sinclair believes City will have the edge – and that’s largely down to their new Spanish manager.
Guardiola had also been linked in reports with United but chose the Etihad Stadium challenge.
Another twist in the transfer saga is the sharing of agents with another Manchester United transfer target in Zlatan Ibrahimovic; Mino Raiola ranks both Pogba and Ibrahimovic among his many clients.
“I just feel there are going to be good players brought in and good players developed and I feel City will be the team to beat next season”.
Sinclair is an admirer of Mourinho but argues his appointment at United could simply be a short-term solution.
He added: “You look at Mourinho, I think he only stays for two or three years at any club”.
Pogba is now contracted to the Serie A champions until 2019 having signed a long-term deal in 2014, and while Raiola has admitted this season that Pogba is open to extending his contract with the club, his current salary of £70,000-a-week could see him move on unless he sees a significant improvement on the deal.
“I still feel there’s a little bit of short-termism at Manchester United but I think they’ve got a good man in”.
Guardiola and Mourinho came face to face in La Liga when they coached Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively. Now the Manchester City boss it was expected his interest in him would be retained but rumour has it he’s no longer interested?

Pogba has gone on to win four consecutive Serie A titles with Juventus since arriving at the club in 2012, along with two Coppa Italia successes and a Champions League final appearance in 2014/15, but his future is continually thrown into question given his talent attracts the attention of the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and United.
