Man City enjoy 5-0 romp in Bucharest
“Manchester City’s squad has contained stellar talent in abundance for eight or more years now, but the 5-0 win over Steaua Bucharest in the Champions League playoffs on Tuesday night provided something of an eye-opener, even in these bejeweled times”.

For Steaua, it merely added to a stinker of an evening, given Man City handed them a 5-0 walloping.
Sergio Aguero scored a hat-trick and missed two penalties as City all but booked their place among Europe’s elite in the Champions League proper this season. “If he’s confident, for me it’s not a problem”.
They say a group of Dinamo fans contacted Steaua officials posing as professionals and offered their services to help prepare the mosaic ahead of the hotly anticipated Champions League tie.
“We have a big advantage, but it is not over and we have to play the second leg”.
Aguero has however missed four out of his past five penalties in European games and, though he converted one against Sunderland at the weekend, it will be intriguing to see whether he continues in the role. Aguero stood over spot kick but it proved easy to save for Florin Nita, and the follow-up clattered the crossbar.
Raheem Sterling has got his season off to an impressive start at Manchester City – and new manager Pep Guardiola may be the reason why.
It ended with De Bruyne picking out Nolito with a clever pass into the six-yard box and the Spaniard rounding the keeper for his first City goal as Steaua appealed for offside.
“After I missed my first penalty, my head was spinning a bit but I thought “I have to carry on and try to score this one” but I missed”. Their weaknesses were exploited once again as Aguero was allowed to finish off at the post to round off an excellent European debut for Guardiola.
Guardiola said: “We are very pleased about the way we played. If you score three goals nobody will complain about the penalties”.
“After the two penalties for us, a little situation is going to give away a penalty against us and we have to avoid that”.

“Now he is playing really good”, Guardiola told BT Sport. The other two goals came courtesy of David Silva’s opener, and a first goal for summer signing Nolito.
