Man City’s Aguero grabs double for Guardiola’s ideal 10

City made it a ideal six Premier League wins from six under Guardiola after Aguero scored in each half – including a 65th-minute penalty after Michael van der Hoorn brought down Kevin de Bruyne.

City has won its first 10 games of the season under new coach Pep Guardiola – a club record – and has a four-point lead after six rounds in the Premier League.

However, in the first half, City’s play was somewhat disjointed. Despite playing at home, Swansea opted to defend deep with Jordi Amat (2) and Mike van der Hoorn (5) positioned just above their own penalty area to avoid Sterling and Aguero running in behind them.

City are four points clear of second-placed Tottenham through six games.

The Sun says the Belgian worldwide will undergo a scan today after going down in the 81st minute of City’s tenth straight win of the season at Swansea City.

Manchester City were extremely wasteful against Swansea today, with De Bruyne and Gundogan guilty of not putting the game to bed.

The Argentine’s goals – his first a brilliant turn and powerful finish that gave keeper Lukas Fabianski no chance, while his second was a Panenka penalty – have come from just six games but the City boss wants the striker to contribute even more, particularly after a hard afternoon against a stubborn Swansea side.

Kun Aguero returned from his suspension today with two well taken goals.

“We played a very good game and for one hour we were at the same level as Manchester City and they are the best team in the United Kingdom”, he said. “It was a good game and now there is disappointment in my team, but if we play like this in the future then it will be a good future for us”.

Swansea, beaten by Guardiola’s men in the League Cup in midweek, certainly gave City a tougher test than their lowly league position suggested was possible. If the referee says this I have to accept it. He is a manager who demands more every game.

Guidolin added: “Our fixtures are not easy in this period and in terms of our results, we are not in a very good moment”. He now has eleven goals in all competitions this season with five of them coming in the league.

Fernando Llorente’s goal also left City with only one clean sheet in the league this season.

Raheem Sterling later added to Aguero’s dinked penalty, and Gullit said: “I think it’s a penalty”.
