Man City’s Vincent Kompany set for another month out
Vincent Kompany could be out for up to four weeks after suffering another calf injury setback, Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini confirmed after his side’s 0-0 draw with Leicester City.

A near record crowd packed into Leicester’s King Power Stadium on Tuesday to see their side, which had to scramble to avoid relegation previous year just months after returning to the top flight, face the club that has won two Premier League titles in the last four seasons, reports Efe.
Leicester City again showed they could mix it with the big guns, going level on points with Premier League leaders Arsenal after drawing 0-0 with title rivals Manchester City on Tuesday night.
But Pellegrini said: “Kun was on the bench because if we needed him he could have played in the second half, but we have to play Leicester three days later – a hard game – and 10 games during January”.
“I think we did more than Leicester to win the game”, Pellegrini told BT Sport.
So then, in light of the sheer lack of fortune to afflict the powerful centre-back at this particular stage in the proceedings, can Manchester City really push on without Kompany on board this term? We played very well against Sunderland and against Leicester. Maybe we have to finish a little better, with the important amount of offensive moments we had.
“One of the good things about tonight is that we kept a clean sheet after many games without”.
“Isco? I always have the same answer and that is that I do not talk about rumours”.
“We will continue the same way because in the four defeats I am sure we are playing the correct way and I hope the wins will come”, he said. It was hard but we played well, we created some chances. The Premier League this season is unusual.
Vincent Kompany suffered another calf injury when coming on as a substitute in the 4-1 victory over Sunderland in Boxing Day.
Despite the likes of David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne in the side, City failed to win against Leicester and go second in the league.
