His auto rolled several times.
At least one person was transported to the hospital.
In a news release Friday the CHP said Thursday’s shooting was the 20th on Bay Area freeways since November 2015 with a lot of them on Interstate 80 and Highway 4 primarily in east and west Contra Costa County.
The driver of the white sedan fled the area and has not been found.
The injured man, who was wounded twice in the right leg, was not identified.
Most recently a woman, identified as 25-year-old San Francisco resident Shanique Marie, was shot and killed on state Highway 4 in Pittsburg on Wednesday morning.
