According to Palestinian media, the Palestinian Health Ministry identified the young man as 16-year-old Sadeq Ziad Gharbiyeh from the town of Sanur.

More than 50 percent of Israelis support “on-the-spot” extrajudicial killings of suspected Palestinian attackers “even if they have been apprehended and no longer pose a threat”, a poll has found.

Israel security forces arrested 24 suspected members of Palestinian Islamist group Hamas in overnight raids in the northern West Bank, the army said on Tuesday. The current wave of violence erupted in mid-September, fueled by rumors that Israel was trying to increase Jewish presence there.

Scheper-Hughes, the founder of Organ Watch, said: “Israeli organ traffickers have a pyramid system at work that’s awesome…they have brokers everywhere, bank accounts everywhere; they’ve got recruiters, they’ve got translators, they’ve got travel agents who set up the visas”. The wounded boy was being treated at a hospital.

The recent escalation in violence is thought to be motivated in part by the increase of Jewish visits to parts of Jerusalem holy both to Jews and Muslims, and the failure of global efforts to broker a peace deal between Palestinians and Israelis. Paramilitary police troopers shot the man dead, she said.

It also found that 80 percent of Israeli interviewees believe that the family homes of alleged Palestinian attackers should be demolished. The army deployed hundreds of troops in the city and police erected checkpoints at the entrances to Palestinian neighbourhoods. Israel has denied such claims.

One of the boys, aged 12, was reportedly shot and severely injured while a 13-year-old was arrested by Israeli forces who arrived at the scene. Police fatally shot Hassan and a passing auto ran over Ahmed.

A Palestinian bystander was hurt by a stray bullet, Samri added.

The interrogator is next recorded showing Manasra a video of the attack, shouting questions at him about details of the incident.

In the video, police officers showed him the security camera footage of the attack. Two people in their 20s were wounded moderately and seriously while a pregnant woman was lightly hurt. The Palestinians seek an independent state in East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza, which were captured by Israel in the 1967 Middle East war.
