Man gets relief from his ‘spider fear’ after removing a part of his brain
A man went under surgery for removing a part of his brain – just to get rid of his phobia of fearing spider.

According to the report, the man, name has been kept secret, went under surgery just to cure his phobia of fearing spider which had actually started randomly – and amazingly he was cured.
His operating doctor, Dr Nick Medford, believes that the operation on the left part of the amygdala could have removed some of the neural pathways linked to the fear.
However, after operation he developed another phobia which could be said as the ‘repulsion to music’ but it was believed that this phobia was just for temporary.
