Man held in girl’s disappearance not talking
It’s that nightmare that launched a massive search in Indiana after toddler Shaylyn Ammerman vanished without a trace, and, on Thursday, police made a grisly discovery – her body had been found in a remote area located near the White River, northeast of Gosport, Indiana. “Burn in hell, Kyle Parker”, said Ammerman.

Kyle Parker, 22, was taken into custody Thursday afternoon in connection with Shaylyn’s disappearance.
State Police did say that it is possible more arrests could be coming as their investigation continues.
“Let me be really frank here: We’ve just started”, Durnill said.
An autopsy will help determine her cause of death.
A body matching Shaylyn’s description was found on private property near the White River outside of Gosport on Thursday night, according to state police Sgt. Curt Durnil.
The little girl was reported missing Wednesday morning.
She had been in the care of her grandmother and father Tuesday in their Spencer home.
Shaylyn was at her father’s home in Spencer Tuesday and the family put her to bed at around 10:30 p.m. and checked on her again at midnight. When he woke in the morning, she was gone, setting off a large search.
As a person of interest, Ammerman took a polygraph test in Indianapolis on Thursday to rule him out, Morgan said, adding that her son would never harm his daughter.
Authorities haven’t said why they believe the 22-year-old man was involved in Shaylyn’s disappearance.
Investigators know the man was in the house on the night Shaylyn disappeared.
“The investigation is not close to being over”, he said. He faces preliminary charges including two counts of obstruction of justice, unlawful disposition of a dead body and failure to report a dead body.
Parker, who is refusing to speak with police but has not been formally charged, was said to have visited the family home around a dozen times by Shaylyn’s grandmother, Tamera Morgan. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article.
