Police say 45-year-old James A. Young II lost his personal items while riding the Raptor.

Cedar Point, located in Sandusky, Ohio, released a statement via Twitter and Facebook.

No one else was hurt. It boasts 150 rides, including 17 roller coasters and over 10 miles of track.

Officials later confirmed that Young, from East Canton, was visiting the park with friends Thursday and had ridden the Raptor.

The Raptor was built in 1994 and is billed on the Cedar Points website as being an “aggressive thrill ride”. Unfortunately the guest has passed away. Authorities are working on determining whether Young was struck by a train of the coaster itself or somebody on the ride.
