Man is climbing 58-story Trump Tower in New York City
“Individual climbing #TrumpTower has been apprehended”. Police said he is 20 years old.

That’s because that man is climbing Trump Tower with simply four suction cups and a backpack.
It appears the climber posted a video on YouTube yesterday explaining his reasoning for the stunt and the person in the clip stresses that the reason they’ve embarked on the climb is to discuss an important matter. In the one-minute clip, the man in a underwhelming tone, says he wanted a special meeting with the presidential nominee before telling others to vote for Trump in November. “His sole intention was to meet with Mr Trump”.
The man was climbing for more than an hour before the police intervened, pulling him off in an event live streamed on YouTube.
Emergency Service workers and NYPD officers have broken a window near the man and are lowering a window washer scaffolding in an attempt to reach him.
The tower is both headquarters to Trump’s campaign and his business empire.
The real estate mogul was not in the building at the time of the climb, but on the campaign trail.
NY billionaire Donald Trump was outside the city on Wednesday, holding a rally in Virginia with another event planned later in Florida. The man did not resist, Williams said.
His team was working with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office to determine which charges would be made.
“This man performed a ridiculous and risky stunt”.
Several news outlets reported that the man told NYPD he is “Steve from Virginia and wants Donald Trump to see him”.
Since he launched his controversial, media-saturated bid for the White House, the tower on New York’s prestigious Fifth Avenue has become a magnet for tourists.
“And I said, ‘If you lock this in, at least if you get exhausted we will have you, and you won’t fall.’ And he refused to take the line – his thing was he wanted to go talk to Trump”, Williams said. “If Mr. Trump were here he’d be thanking law enforcement for the job they’re doing”.
Workers removed windows from the glass-faced, 58-storey skyscraper to prevent him from going higher. No one was injured. Christopher Williams, the officer who grabbed the climber and pulled him inside, said after the incident was over.

Update 5:30 p.m. ET: The man has climbed above the responder who broke a window to communicate with him.
