Man killed and woman injured in Long Beach shooting, police say
When Officers arrived on scene, they discovered the pedestrian lying unconscious on Willow St. being treated by Good Samaritans already on scene. The Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) responded and declared the two dead. The victims said there were four suspects driving two vehicles.

The investigation led detectives to a parking lot along Pacific Coast Highway and Lemon Avenue about 12 hours later, where they spotted one of the suspect vehicles and several suspects.
Some of the suspects were inside the vehicle, and police believed they were armed and risky, according to the statement.
When police did approach the group, some of the suspects scattered, sparking a short pursuit that was punctuated by gunfire, according to authorities. The suspect was taken to a hospital and remains in critical condition. The man was not hit and he continued running, police said.
As the detectives tried to detain one of the suspects, he ran away and officials shot him, police said.
Also at the same time, three additional suspects were found inside a business near the parking lot.
Another suspect fled southbound from the parking lot, entered an occupied home in the 1700 block of Lemon Avenue, taken into custody and charged with residential burglary. A gun was found inside the business, police said.

Police said they believe the incident is gang-related and plan to present a case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office later this week.
