Man scaling Trump Tower in NY rescued by police

On Wednesday, police responded to calls about a man climbing the side of Trump Tower, who incredibly was scaling the tower using suction cups.

The climber had started his ascent from a terrace area on the fifth floor and managed to initially evade police by climbing around an opened window and washer scaffold.

At about 5:45 p.m., Nieves said that the NYPD will “probably not” cut out any more window panes because the glass fell the last time and is unsafe.

At a news conference later the New York Police Department said the unidentified man did not express a desire to harm anyone and said his mission was to get a meeting with Trump.

But at 6:20 p.m., he said two windows have been removed from the 21st floor the NYPD Emergency Service Unit is attempted to talk the climber in.

He gave conflicting names to police and authorities said they were trying to ascertain his real identity.

Trump lives in a marble triplex at the top of the 68-story building, which is also the headquarters of his Trump Organization and election campaign.

The building is the headquarters of the United States presidential campaign of Republican nominee Donald Trump.

The man began his ascend around 4 p.m. local time on the south side of the 58-story building which is the headquarters of the USA presidential campaign of Republican nominee Donald Trump. He also identifies as a Trump supporter.

Police said he arrived in NY on Tuesday and was staying in a local hotel. Throughout the climb, police had been negotiating with the man but were reluctant to do anything that could cause him to fall, the official said.

“Sir, you need to come with me”, said the officer who grabbed the man.

The Trump campaign was unimpressed by the gesture.

He was seen using suction cups to slowly climb the skyscraper, taking pauses, it appeared, to clean the dirty windows. Donald Trump tweeted about the incident late Wednesday night: Police tell ABC News that the video is being investigated.

“I’m 100% certain the NYPD had better things to do”, Cohen added.

Members of the public are free to roam inside the atrium until 10 pm most days as part of an agreement that allowed Trump to build 20 stories higher.

“This man performed a ridiculous and unsafe stunt”, Michael Cohen, an executive at the Trump Organization, said in an emailed statement.
