Medics took the suspect to the hospital, where officers plan to interview him to learn more about his state of mind and what he was doing.

Seattle police say they’re investigating after officers shot two men in unrelated cases early Tuesday.
Second Avenue was closed between Spring and Seneca streets, but it reopened shortly after 6 a.m. He ran away. Police contacted the suspect near the 1000 block of NE 98th Street and discovered he was carrying a knife.
The first confrontation happened just before 3 a.m. A security guard at a downtown building called police about a man with what appeared to be a handgun. He was arrested and was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Seattle police spokesman Officer Patrick Michaud said the man refused to put the gun down.
One officer can be seen on the patrol vehicle footage yelling “drop the gun” repeatedly before and after firing.
An officer used a Taser, but it failed to stop the suspect, according to police. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center.
Nearly two hours later, officers working in North Seattle dispatched to a auto prowl in the Northgate area shot and wounded a man in a separate incident.
The department has placed two officers on paid administrative leave per standard department policy.
The department’s Force Investigation Team is seeking photos and video from the scenes and looking to speak with anyone who witnessed either incident. Per policy, members of the Officer of Professional Accountability were on hand to observe the investigations.

Meanwhile, back at the scene, investigators worked to collect evidence.
