German media reported four people were injured by an axeman on train near Wurzburg, Germany late Monday.
Several of the victims are in a serious condition, police spokesman Fabien Hench told Sky News.
Bavaria’s Interior Ministry confirmed shortly after that the suspect was shot by police.
The attacks took place when the train was near the city of Würzburg, according to local media.

The horrific attack happened on a train line between Wurzburg-Heidingsfeld and Ochsenfurt in Germany. Authorities in France have called that attack an act of terrorism.
