Man sues to keep Pokemon Go players away from his house

Analytics have calculated that “Pokemon Go” game has brought in daily revenue of more than $ 10 million, and has been downloaded around 100 million times. But the developers have not yet commented on the fact that why some third party services who were providing the link to install Pokemon Go were removed from the Play store as well as app store. This preceded violent threats and a shocking amount of community squabbling, with many saying that Pokemon Go would be “ruined” if legendaries were available so easily.

Although this is the first lawsuit filed against the company it is not the first time the app, which launched on 6 July, has been in the news for the wrong reasons. Today, Niantic, creators of Pokemon Go, reached out on their Facebook page to address the issues that have sprung up since their recent update. Afterwards, things were looking good again as some players managed to catch a few legendary Pokemon including Articuno.

Unfortunately, those legendary Pokemon weren’t supposed to appear just yet.

Liu insists that Pokevision was built as a stop gap solution to Pokemon Go’s inoperative in-game tracking system and claims the team “had every intention in closing it down the minute that Pokemon Go’s own tracker restored functionality”. As a result, Niantic has made a decision to remove these legendary Pokemon from any accounts they are now on.

Furthermore, Niantic have limited the access to the third-party services that were interfering with the ability to maintain the quality of service for the game users.

“The original feature, although enjoyed by many, was also confusing and did not meet our underlying product goals”, said Niantic in its statement. That might be a useful feature, as it prevents you from playing and driving, but it’s still annoying if you prefer to do your Pokemon exercising by biking, especially in rural areas where Pokemon might be harder to find.
