Man tackled a robbery scene by hitting the suspect with bottle of champagne

A shopkeeper tackled a robbery scene by hitting the suspect with bottle of champagne from his own shop.

It has been reported that the shopkeeper when noticed the intruder in the cellars, he warned him to not to proceed but when the suspect refused, he used the champagne bottle, which he was holding at that time.

He broke the bottle on robber’s head.

Soon another shopper, jumped into scene, by blasting the fire extinguisher on his face with foam.

However, the suspect somehow managed to flee from the scene.

The shopkeeper, Neil Hanby, later said “I heard a noise in the cellars and, as I went down, I saw him there. He realized he was cornered and when he came up I warned him not to proceed but he did”.

Police has launched an investigation regarding the attempt and trying the track the robbers.
