Man taking selfies with gun fatally shoots himself

A man died after accidentally shooting himself in the face while taking selfies of himself posing with a gun.

The girlfriend told police the couple had been taking several photos with the gun through the day, with her boyfriend repeatedly loading and unloading it. Clark told reporters that at least one bullet was still in the gun on the last time he fired.

It wasn’t the first photo the 43-year-old Concrete, Wash., resident had taken with his gun.

The man and his girlfriend were at home taking photos of themselves with the gun when the incident occurred on Sunday, Skagit County Sheriff’s Office Chief of Patrol Chad Clark was quoted as saying by the Skagit Valley Herald.

Other research has revealed the countries where you are apparently most likely to die while taking a selfie, with Americans “ten times more likely to die in gun deaths” than those in other countries.

It’s been reported that more people die while attempting to take selfies than in shark attacks.

The San Francisco-based data service provider Priceonomics reported that there have been 49 recorded selfie-related deaths since 2014 in addition to this incident.

“Along with all the advantages of the modern world there appear new threats”, Russian official Yelena Alekseyeva said at a press conference, according to CNN.
