Man United need to buy another striker: Van Gaal
“We’ve done exceptionally well against United in the last three fixtures and confidence is creeping back into the team”, caretaker manager Alan Curtis acknowledged on the back of a three-game unbeaten run, which has lifted Swansea two points above the relegation zone.

United suffered no fresh injury concerns during the draw with Chelsea but none of their injured players are ready to return meaning van Gaal will choose from the same squad as Monday night.
Manchester United have won three of their last four Premier League home games against Swansea, though they did lose the most recent clash.
“When you analyse the matches, we are always capable of playing in our style where we created chances and were the dominating team”.
Manchester United have been linked with a number of forwards, including Sadio Mane, Edinson Cavani and Yoshinori Muto, but the 64-year-old was reluctant to say he would spend big on a forward in the window.
“I always admire any player that’s come from the non-league into the Premier League, it’s a hard journey to make and you really do have to excel to make it and be noticed”, said Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe.
Man United might be in a bit of a crisis at the moment, but Swansea will be forgiven for not having too much sympathy.
“I think we have fulfilled the wish and our aim in the first season and after that we have managed to give balance to the team and that resulted in October or November we were first”.
‘It [a lack of goals] can be solved with money but also on the training pitch, ‘ said Van Gaal.
Asked if the pressure on him is easing, Van Gaal added: “I don’t know because the pressure is also what you experience by yourself and also by the players because they have to perform in a certain time”. Then you have a lot of pressure more for the strikers’ position. It is the story of Hernández, for example. “They are not happy then”.
United’s nosedive in form over the last two months has seen them drop to sixth in the Premier League, nine points adrift of leaders Arsenal and Leicester City. They want to go away.
Van Gaal, however, hailed the “fantastic” reaction of the United supporters.
“We have to get points otherwise the gap is too big”, said the Dutchman. He wants to play, but I can imagine that he can’t always play in this world. “That is of course much more hard when you don’t win than when you win”. We were there in the first position in the league but within a month it can be very different and it is like that.
Louis van Gaal should be given more time to build this team, feels David Moyes.
“The players want to win because we didn’t win several matches in a row”.

Van Gaal appeared to be in serious danger of being sacked following a run of four successive defeats, culminating in a feeble performance as his team were beaten 2-0 at Stoke City on Boxing Day.
