The Red Devils were crowned the most hated team in the Premier League previous year, but they have now come in second place to Chelsea, according to a survey conducted by The Mirror.

A survey conducted by the Mirror UK asked fans to rate which clubs they hate the most.

Have you ever wondered who the most hated team in the Premier League is?

The survey took answers from 10,000 fans of clubs across England with the opinions of each club weighted equally.

Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal make up the top five, while it’s good news for Bournemouth, Leicester and Burnley fans who sit 20th, 19th and 18th in the table.

The last time Liverpool were in such a situation was in 2013-14, when they came agonisingly close to winning the title with Rodgers at the helm, and the Northern Irishman sees parallels between the two seasons.

Here are the results in full, going from the most hated to the least. Swansea’s for example is hardly breaking new ground, while the Southampton shirt gave us a headache. Tottenham are the most hated by Arsenal fans (86%).

In the North West, Everton fans despise Liverpool (84%) the most, while the Reds hate traditional rivals Manchester United more than any other club (93%).

Some other interesting facts to come from the survey were that Chelsea are most hated by Tottenham fans, though Arsenal supporters aren’t too far behind.
