Man United poised to regain past glory: Rooney

Arsene Wenger believes Paul Pogba’s proposed £100million move to Manchester United represents the “complete madness” of the modern transfer market.

“I think the players feel this is more like the old Manchester United”. “But for the next two years, captain or not captain, I’ll turn up and be available to play if I am wanted”.

As reports continue to circulate about the 23-year-old’s impending move to the Red Devils, Rooney has admitted he would be delighted to welcome Pogba back. It’s not just the new signings, we’ve got Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford from last season who made such an impact.

It seems particularly ridiculous that the transfer is going ahead with that figure being touted, more so given the fact that this is a player that United let leave on a free transfer in 2012.

“But nothing was said and just like all the other guys I want to work very hard and get my spot in the team”.

The Manchester United captain has spoken openly about the potential return of the French midfielder in an interview with the Daily Mail in which he expressed his hope that the Juventus player will be at Old Trafford before long. The former PSG striker announced himself to the United faithful by scoring his first goal for the club a mere three minutes into his debut and bookmakers William Hill have back him to excel in the Premier League.

“I’m sure he’ll feel there is unfinished business, and it would be a very big statement by the club if they can make it happen'”. I’ve heard him talk to players, and you know that player will now be feeling on top of the world. I don’t think he meant to do it, but it just happened.

“I’m confident with my own qualities so I have to show it over and over again”. He was also fast and powerful so even at that age you could see he had everything you need to be a top, top player.

Pogba wouldn’t exactly help Rooney’s plans to transition to the midfield as he ages.
