Man United: Van Gaal back in firing line
In his interview with Spanish TV Fiebre Maldini, Hernandez confirmed reports that he had been forced out by Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal despite his interest to stay at the club.

“I think we have a very young side and I think that the youngsters who are coming up through the youth ranks are fitting in really well. I feel important, not just because of my goals, but because I feel that I’ll start every game”.
United exited the Champions League at the group stage last week and lost 2-1 to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.
And former Chelsea midfielder Nevin reckons Van Gaal’s poor communication skills in English is hampering his waning popularity with the club’s increasingly disillusioned supporters.
‘He has had hard times before in his career, but always comes through. After his short stint there, he made a switch to Bayer Leverkusen on a three year deal during summer.
Hernandez had joined United in 2010 from Guadalajara.
At a time where United are looking particularly weak up front, with Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial between them yielding 13 goals – four less than what Hernandez has managed on his own – the Mexican could have been a key player for the Red Devils this season.
In the Daily Mail, there’s a story that Louis van Gaal has relented and given Manchester United’s players two days off. While they might need the rest after a busy run of games, it can’t be overstated how much happier they probably are when they don’t have to see their manager and go through his reportedly terrible training approach.
“I didn’t have the intention to leave but I wanted more playing time”, Hernandez said.
“I’m so grateful to Ferguson”, he said.
“Every player had his place”.

However, “Chicharito” has been in fantastic form for the Bundesliga club this season, scoring a staggering 18 goals in just 21 games so far in the current campaign. “He opened me the door to Europe and I won two leagues”.
