Man Utd axe star, Chelsea plot Arsenal and Liverpool hijack — Transfer News

United included the keeper in their Premier League squad, but only because the rules stated they had to register every first-team player up to their allocation of 25, and with the team below that number as a total, Valdes was listed.

But if United ripped up his current contract, he would be free to move on to a new side. Much to the goalkeeper’s misery, his move to Turkey’s Besiktas collapsed and it forced him to remain at the Manchester club.

Valdes has been told he has no future at the club after refusing to play for United’s under-21 side last season.

Valdes is made to only turn up to training when the first team are not around, meaning he spends most of his time at the Carrington headquarters in the afternoons, unless the majority of the top stars are in then. That would rule out a move to Anfield. Liverpool’s Phil Chisnall was the last player to make a switch from one club to another which was 43 years ago.

Shoot magazine speculates that Lingard could be on his way out of Old Trafford once again. The Daily Mirror notes, that Valdes has been left out of the official team’s photo.

Valdes’ contract with the Red Devils is set to expire at the end of the season, but both parties are now believed to be keen on bringing his stay at Old Trafford to a premature end.

It was thought that Valdes may be sold in the most recent transfer window after Sergio Romero was preferred ahead of him after David De Gea was dropped at, amid interest from Real Madrid.
