Man Utd: Louis van Gaal says ‘goals are coming’ after latest blank
They’re only one point behind table-topping Leicester City and Manchester City, and Louis Van Gaal will be eager to prove his worth by reclaiming that spot.

And Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is getting exhausted of it.
Van Gaal was pushed further to explain how his current relationship with the players is, to which he answered: “It’s good”.
With fans growing increasingly restless and chants of “attack, attack, attack” now commonplace at United games, Van Gaal urged supporters to stay behind his team.
“Also the injury of Wayne Rooney is more heavy [serious] than we thought, so neither can play”.
The West Ham defender came to his team’s rescue again when he deflected Martial’s shot wide from inside the box after some more good work from Fellaini, who cushioned Lingard’s cross deep in the box with expertise. “I know that because I am also disappointed and so are my players”.
After falling out with a number of players, Van Gaal left Barcelona during his second spell at the club and he quit his role as Ajax technical director following a power struggle with then manager Ronald Koeman.
– West Ham have taken 14 points from away games this campaign, have secured just 16 last season under Sam Allardyce.
“I’m happy that when I’m gone, people are saying nice things about me”, Van Gaal is quoted as saying by The Telegraph.
United and Tottenham are the only sides yet to lose a Premier League home match this season. I am giving them a lot of rest because I think it is necessary now, nevertheless we have six injuries most of which are contact injuries. United, though heavy in possession and a little more unsafe going forward – ultimately failed to convince anybody (let alone their fans) that there is light at the end of the tunnel here.
But United survived some major scares, particularly in the first half, with David de Gea saving well when Victor Moses was clean through, and West Ham striking the post twice in quick succession off the heads of Mauro Zarate and Winston Reid.
“They are different than, let’s say, the [Alex] Ferguson era, when especially at home they were electric, playing more vertically”, he said.
“I am pleased with the performance but when you create these kind of chances, you must finish”, he said. “We are unlucky I have to say”.
