Man who ‘decapitated wife, dogs’ leaves hospital for jail
Kenneth Wakefield, 43, is accused of stabbing his wife and dogs to death in a grisly fashion on July 22 – leading one Phoenix police official to call the crime scene “absolutely horrific”. The MCSO booking number is T200136 and he is being held on a $2 million bond.

A Phoenix man suspected of decapitating his wife and mutilating himself last week was transferred Saturday from a local hospital to Maricopa County jail, where he was charged with first-degree murder, Phoenix Police said in a Sunday.
George Loney went to check on his friend, 49-year-old Trina Heisch after not hearing from her for several days.
Wakefield admitted to officers that he killed three of his family members inside the house. He said he encountered her husband, who had a severed arm.
The neighbor could see that the apartment’s floors and walls were covered in blood and immediately contacted authorities. Two dogs were also found dead inside the house.
