“America has become less safe under Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, and Clinton’s planned 550% increase in Syrian refugees is a risky proposal that will put American lives at risk”, Miller said.

After critics slammed the tweet for mischaracterizing the refugee vetting process, senior communications adviser Jason Miller brushed off criticism, calling Trump Jr.

Donald Trump Jr was arguing against allowing those displaced by the current conflict in the Middle East to be allowed into the States. Saying a bowl of Skittles are all cars, but one represents a fatal accident, would you climb into the driver’s seat this morning?

This is not the first time Donald Trump Jr. has used imagery that some believe carries xenophobic or racist connotations.

But Mr Kittos’ image is listed under the “All Rights Reserved” license, which gives the owner full rights under copyright law. “Refugees are people. We don’t feel it is an appropriate analogy”.

Correct the Record, a pro-Hillary Clinton super PAC, cut a new political ad highlighting the backlash of Donald Trump Jr.’s Skittles comment.

The Republican nominee’s son came under fire just last week for sharing a photo featuring Pepe the Frog, a cartoon figure that has become a mascot of sorts for white nationalists online. In an interview with MSNBC, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee compared Syrian refugees to poisonous peanuts, asking “if there were about 10 peanuts that were deadly poisonous, would you feed them to your kids?” The elder Trump has repeatedly said the reason he has not released his returns is because they are being audited by the Internal Revenue Service.

So if we think of Google Trends in terms of the election, Skittles are essentially beating Trump in the “polls”.

Syrian refugees have been forced to uproot their families, from a country that’s morphed into a battleground between global superpowers and fringe terrorist groups.

Donald Trump has called for a suspension of the Syrian refugee resettlement program, charging that it endangers US national security.

U.S. admission of Syrian refugees has always been a politically sensitive issue, although the country has admitted far fewer than many close allies. Kittos said he was experimenting with a DIY macro photography setup when he took the shot. This is in addition to about 75,000 refugees from other parts of the world.
