Man who swallowed 40 knives not feeling so sharp
Jarnail Singh, 42, was admitted to hospital in Gurdaspur, India, a few days ago complaining about abdominal pains. “He told us he would swallow the knives along with a glass of water”, Malhotra said. Malhotra described some of the knives as rusting and broken.

Today in odd addictions, we present a man from northern India who can’t stop eating knives.
“In my 20 years of practice, this is the most terrible surgery I have ever seen or done”, Malhotra said.
The man is recovering in the hospital and is out of danger. “I am glad they saved my life and I want to go back to my family”.
“I will never do such acts ever again”, the patient told CNN.
He said the man could not explain why he swallowed the knives.
An Indian police person swallowed about 40 knives over past two months. “How people get addicted to alcohol and other things, my situation was similar”.
Dr. Malhotra believes the patient may be suffering from a rare mental disorder that has not been seen before. Dyspepsia, Appendicitis, Fibroids or as worse as a tumor, yes, a cancer, when ultrasonography divulges a mass in your stomach.
Doctors took two days to come up with a surgical plan of action prior to operating. However, when they received the biopsy report, that’s when they found metallic substances, which turned out to be knives.

The man reportedly told AFP that he did “not know why” he had swallowed the knives but claimed there “was some spiritual power behind” the action.
