Manchester City are done spending according to Pep Guardiola

With less than a week remaining of the summer transfer window, Hart could be facing the possibility of remaining at City as third choice behind Bravo and Caballero.

Claudio Bravo expects to compete with Manchester City’s other goalkeepers for his place after completing his move to the Etihad Stadium.

The Premier League leaders will pay an initial fee of £13.75 million and Barcelona could earn another £2.5 million dependent on City’s performance in the Champions League.

Hart, first-choice Citizens keeper for almost a decade, has not featured in the Premier League since Pep Guardiola’s arrival, with the Spaniard preferring to field Willy Cabalero in goal. I can’t deny what I feel.

“But to me, it’s all about the team, never mind just about the goalkeeper, the back-pass situation”.

It is therefore likely Caballero will play, even though England worldwide Hart returned for Wednesday’s Champions League play-off victory over Steaua Bucharest. “His experience, to anticipate situations not in the box and in front of the box, being good in the build-up plays and quick under the posts – he is a good player for us”.

The 2016/17 arrival of Pep Guardiola in Manchester has however put a kink in Hart’s plans.

Guardiola hailed the signing of Bravo, but Man City fans will not be seeing him in action this weekend.

The draw for the Champions league saw Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City be drawn in the same group as his former club Barcelona.

But any deal is dependent on City footing the bill for the bulk of Hart’s salary, which they are willing to do to ensure the England No.1 can find a new club. “They are going to be in rotation, part of that”, he said.

“It’s a situation. We’ve got a top manager that the club has wanted for a long, long time and he’s going to have his opinion on things”, Hart told BT Sport. “I will treat him like anyone if he stays”, he said.

Hart is set to be named in Sam Allardyce’s first England squad, but the new manager has expressed his concern at Hart’s lack of first team football.

“I have followed City’s progress in recent years and obviously know some of my new teammates from the Copa America”.
