Now to continue such a trend, it has been widely reported that City’s next target is Wolfsburg star Kevin De Bruyne.

This is the price that the German side have placed on the young Belgium international’s head, as a way of warding off interest from potential clubs, and it remains to be seen whether the Sky Blues will be put off by the astronomical fee.
He stressed that the club are yet to receive any concrete offers for De Bruyne and will only react when one lands at their door.
The Belgian playmaker has been linked with a number of clubs this summer including PSG, but Manchester City are doing all the running at the moment to get a deal done.
It is this element that Manchester City, or any team for that matter, would benefit from having such a player in their side.
While De Bruyne is keen on a move back to the Premier League in order to prove a point following his hard spell with Chelsea, City may well be required to up the ante in their pursuit for the attacking midfielder as Wolfsburg are not willing to let their prized asset leave for anything less than £50million.
De Bruyne would add a finished article to City’s summer shopping.
