Last year Chelsea won the League Cup on their way to a domestic double, but this year the Blues were eliminated by Stoke City.
“It was the first draw that I saw live, but it’s interesting “one, two, three, four” in a row – are you sure?” he said with a smirk on Sky Sports 1. Some result, even I start believing the glory days are round the corner.
Current Premier League leaders Manchester City won the League Cup in 2014, but Everton have never lifted the trophy and Stoke have not ventured as far as the last four since they won the competition in 1972.
Man City defeated Hull City 4-1 in their quarter-final clash while the Toffees had to see off Middlesbrough 2-0 at Riverside.
“Hmmmmmmm! Couldn’t be any tougher!”
The first leg will be played January 5th or 6th, and the second leg January 26th or 27th. City over 2 legs?
