The Capital One Cup semi-final draw has been announced, and it has football fans salivating at the prospect of a potential final between local rivals Liverpool and Everton.

Last year Chelsea won the League Cup on their way to a domestic double, but this year the Blues were eliminated by Stoke City.

Current Premier League leaders Manchester City won the League Cup in 2014, but Everton have never lifted the trophy and Stoke have not ventured as far as the last four since they won the competition in 1972.
Man City defeated Hull City 4-1 in their quarter-final clash while the Toffees had to see off Middlesbrough 2-0 at Riverside.

The first leg will be played January 5th or 6th, and the second leg January 26th or 27th. City over 2 legs?

The victor of each semi-final will then contest the final at Wembley on Sunday 28th February for the first silverware of the 2015/16 season.
