Manchester City vs Hull City

Someone needs to show they’re capable of winning the league this season, and, frankly, Manchester City have the firepower that makes them overwhelming favourites.

“Obviously their mentality is that they’re in four competitions and they want to win all four”.

Aguero, making only his third appearance since returning from a hamstring problem, appeared in some discomfort as he left the field after 64 minutes of City’s 3-1 Barclays Premier League win at the Etihad Stadium.

Sergio Aguero has calmed fears over another potential injury scare, with the Manchester City striker insisting he came away from Saturday’s win over Southampton with only a “harmless bump on the heel”.

Pellegrini said: “We will see, with the medical staff, the way they recover from these games”.

Joe Hart, Eliaquim Mangala and Samir Nasri are definitely sidelined, while Vincent Kompany (calf) and Pablo Zabaleta (knee) are unlikely to play any part. “But I think we played really well and this is the most important (thing)”.

“You see that we are in a very good season, but in a week we lost against Liverpool and lost against Juventus and maybe all of you were talking about the crisis”.

“It’s important for us to reach the semifinal of the League Cup”, Pellegrini said. “We always want to continue in all the competitions”, he said.

Speaking to the Official Site following the game, even though he didn’t actually make it on to the pitch on Friday evening, the Scottish worldwide explained it was just a huge step for him to have taken to have even been on the bench following his 15 month nightmare out with a dislocated kneecap. Since then, they are winless in nine visits (D3 L6). The League Cup action heads into the quarterfinals today.

Manchester are unbeaten against Hull in last four games, and all of the last six meetings between them have come in the Premier League. I know they are better than us and have better players. Hull surely have a mighty challenge on their hands to cause the upset.
