The incident capped a chaotic 24 hours for United after half the first-team squad were re-routed on their flight from Shanghai to Nanjing airport 160 miles away from Beijing due to adverse weather in the Chinese capital.

City head on to Guangdong for their next tour match, against Borussia Dortmund at the Shenzhen Stadium on Thursday, while United will be heading home.
Mourinho admitted he can not wait to get back to Manchester and begin training with his full complement of players.
“We are unlucky because the pitch is very bad”, said Mourinho.
Gael Clichy says the players are enjoying Pep Guardiola’s approach as they prepare for their ICC clash with Man United.
There were further delays as Mourinho’s pre-match press conference was moved at the last minute when United officials decided the manager could not hold it in the allotted room as it was “too hot and too full”. “The result I want tomorrow is to go home without injuries and that is the luck I want”, he concluded.
Guardiola had commented on their relationship: “We are polite guys”. The conditions for the training session are not the best. If we manage to do that, then that’s fine.
“The pitch and the conditions of my players are more important than results in pre-season”.
More than 70 groundstaff have been working day and night to ensure the pitch is safe to play on, but Mourinho and Guardiola fear their players have been put in unnecessary danger by organisers of the International Champions Cup.
“Emotional balance [is what I want to see from United’s players]”.
“Why should we not shake hands?”
Speaking about his plans, Mourinho insists he wants to train with his whole group for the Galatasaray, Everton and Leicester City games.

The 53-year-old added that the outcome of the match is not his concern as long as his players come through without injury and get on the first plane back home to England.
