Manchester derby preview: Man Utd a different beast under Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has confirmed there are now no injuries in his press conference ahead of the Manchester derby.

Guardiola has already grown fond of Fernandinho, who’s capable of playing in many positions and can read the game astutely. City’s is now 66.2 percent.

United have had 52.9 percent possession, though, and haven’t scored a single goal on the break yet.

Young forwards Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have both made strong cases for their inclusion following successful worldwide outings, with Player of the Month, Eric Bailly, expected to continue at centre-half. There’s enough evidence to justify keeping Rashford on the bench for now.

Both have made flawless starts at their new clubs-both Manchester United and Manchester City have opened the season with three consecutive wins.

But landing an early jab on the chin of Guardiola would be an irresistible carrot for the Portuguese who has transformed the mood at Old Trafford since his arrival, following the departure of the unpopular Louis van Gaal.

Aguero had scored six goals in four matches so far this season before being handed his ban. He’s on pace to smash his output last season, in which he managed 11 goals and 8 assists in 47 games (all competitions).

“The two teams have started well so it will have more psychological impact than a mathematical impact”.

“In this moment, he doesn’t play and they have an wonderful, rich squad in options. The big players always bring their talent to a club immediately, they don’t need time to adapt to a new league or understand another country”, he added.

I’m really excited about the game.

Meanwhile, Guardiola has a number of key selection decisions – with Vincent Kompany, Ilkay Gundogan and Leroy Sane returning to fitness and new goalkeeper Claudio Bravo available, despite training just twice with the club since his move from Barcelona.

However, ahead of their first Manchester derby, both managers had only good things to say of the other.

One of the most exciting signings of the summer transfer window is set for his debut.

“Louis van Gaal trusted me, I played a lot of games”, Fellaini told Sky Sports ahead of Saturday’s blockbuster derby against Manchester City.
