Manchester United are NOT good enough to win Champions League this season
Louis van Gaal insists that he would not attempt to remain as Manchester United manager were he to lose the respect of his players.

“It’s a big blow for us, but we have to stay positive as some of the players maybe have a chance of being back for the Stoke game”.
Bastian Schweinsteiger says Manchester United must forget talk of a title challenge unless they rediscover their killer instinct in front of goal.
That does not mean van Gaal’s immediate future is under threat but if we crash out of the Champions League on Tuesday, there is likely to be a massive backlash among fans and in the press as to what van Gaal is working towards.
“We don’t have a record of too many wins here so it’s a good point”, the West Ham boss said. It was the Hammers who went close to breaking the deadlock when captain Mark Noble sent Nigerian Victor Moses through on goal but his shot thudded off the feet of United’s trusted custodian David De Gea. Blind: Manchester United must start finishing “If you miss a chance you have to be unhappy”.
The inclusion of Marouane Fellaini in place of Rooney gave a different dimension to United’s attack and the Belgium global was heavily involved as van Gaal’s side looked for the early goal which would have eased the pressure.
“We dominated the second half and created a lot of chances and then you have to score”.
“The goals are coming, that is my strong belief”, he said after two points dropped against West Ham United left them fourth in the table.
In the interview held after United drew 0-0 with West Ham on Saturday, Charlie said the Red Devils had squandered a chance to go above arch-rivals City blaming Van Gaal of imposing wrong tactics ti the players.
“Players are not scared in front of goal”.
He must work out a way to do just that before Tuesday’s crucial UEFA Champions League trip to Wolfsburg.
“I have great confidence that we shall score at Wolfsburg”.
Journalist Oliver Kay of the Times did a bit of adding up in the press box, tweeting: “Just totted up #MUFC’s 0-0 draws in a season and a bit under Van Gaal. Ten”. Fellaini slid in late with his studs up on James Tomkins, but referee Mark Clattenburg kept his cards in his pocket.
Schweinsteiger, meanwhile, could face retrospective punishment by the Football Association for an off-the-ball elbow on Winston Reid on Saturday.

Moses and Morgan Schneiderlin were replaced by Michail Antonio and Michael Carrick due to hamstring injuries and United substituted McNair for debutant Guillermo Varela after the restart.
