Manchester United Declare Interest In Portuguese Winger

Manchester United utility man Daley Blind appears to have confirmed that he will more than likely be staying at Old Trafford this summer despite the transfer speculation, even taking the opportunity to criticise those he feels were too eager to write him off.

“People were making that mistake very quick”, Blind was quoted by the Daily Mirror as saying.

Blind believes his critics jumped the gun in believing he’d be dumped by Jose Mourinho. “I think in football, you never really have assurances”.

“Mourinho told me he was impressed with my performance and that if I continue I will get back into the Portugal national team”.

‘What I’m saying is not only for me, but everyone in the squad.

The 53-year-old was named as Louis van Gaal’s successor at the start of the summer after the Dutch coach led United to a disappointing fifth-placed finish in his second season in charge.

“I’m confident with my own qualities so I have to show it over and over again”.

The Netherlands global has resumed centre-back duties for Untied in pre-season and says he has been told nothing about his future at the club and expects to stay. The manager is very honest. He went on to praise the new manager and said, “I think every manager has his own ideas”.

According to a source, Jose is interested in every detail of his players’ lives, so he was pleased to get the local dentist to have a look at their teeth, though it’s safe to assume some of the players weren’t quite so thrilled!
