The Ecuadorian worldwide limped out during the Red Devils’ 0-0 draw against local rivals Manchester City on 25 October.
The 30-year-old may have lost his starting place at Old Trafford but he’s one of Van Gaal’s most dependable players.
Antonio Valencia has undergone surgery to address the injury he suffered in the Manchester derby.
The Ecuador worldwide, who had been deployed at right-back by Louis van Gaal, missed United’s next four games before having the operation. “Now think about my recovery”.
“He (Valencia) had a kick on his foot in the first half and then I let Darmian warm up on the touchline. However, at the end, he could not continue”.
The injury is a blow for Valencia as he had just succeeded in pushing summer signing Matteo Darmian out of position.
Valencia joins fellow full-back Luke Shaw on the injured list, with the England worldwide sidelined for the coming months after suffering a double leg-break during United’s 2-1 Champions League defeat at PSV Eindhoven in September.

However, Valencia is now set to spend a few months on the sidelines but is at least happy that the surgery has been completed.
