Manchester United interested in Juventus’ Paul Pogba but no deal imminent

Manchester United target Paul Pogba would be a “perfect fit” for the Premier League giants, according to former midfielder Paul Ince.

However, Italian reports have long suggested that Juve remain highly reluctant to sell, and Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, has suggested he could now prolong his stay with the Italian champions.

However, speculations abound that Pogba is still holding a “grudge against United over his departure” four seasons ago and does not want a return stint with the Manchester club.

It appears as though Mourinho’s opinion hasn’t changed and Mata will probably have to leave the club if he doesn’t want to spend most of the season on the bench.

Paul Pogba continues to be heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.

That may still not be enough to ensure Pogba returns to Old Trafford, unless United can find an agreement with Juventus.

Real Madrid once again appear to be a possible destination for Pogba, but Old Trafford looks his most likely destination should he depart Juventus. We are very happy at Juventus and they are a club that want to keep their star players. The Red Devils are set to offer the Frenchman a five-year contract worth £250,000 a week – trebling his current salary with Juventus.

Manchester Evening News claim Raiola has already advised Pogba to join United over Real Madrid, who have pulled out of the race to sign him as they are reluctant to match United’s probable world-record offer for Pogba.

The smarter move from Mourinho would be to sign two other members of the France team who’ll take on Portugal in the Euro 2016 final on Sunday night – N’Golo Kante and Dimitri Payet instead.

Pogba left United for Juventus on a free transfer in 2012 after growing exhausted of a lack of first-team opportunities under then boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
