Manchester United Linked Raphael Varane Explains Real Madrid Stay Decision
Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane insists that he wants to remain at the Bernabeu, despite losing his spot in the team last season.

The France defender lost his place in the starting XI following the departure of head coach Rafael Benitez in January, with Zinedine Zidane preferring to partner Pepe alongside Sergio Ramos. “I think everything is here for me to continue my progression”, he told a news conference.
I’m positive and I want to keep progressing.
“I feel loved by the fans, who want the best for me, and the best is yet to come.
I’m with the best players in the world and I’ve got everything here to continue improving and to give everything”, said Varane.
“Yes, I want to stay here this year”.
The 23-year-old, who has been with Los Blancos for the past five years, expressed his love for the fans and has insisted that he wants to be in Madrid this season. “The best is still ahead of me”. The situation seems one that the French centre-back is content with if not happy with.
Varane is eager to make a fresh start after suffering the heartache of missing two major finals through injury last season, and believes his current club have the ability to grant him his wish. While several players have been linked with a move to Old Trafford, and some of them are big names, looks like Raphael Varane is not going to be one of them.

“Finishing the season without playing in the Champions League final and the European Championship is hard for me, it’s true”, he said. “I want to go forward and keep improving”, he said at Madrid’s preseason retreat in Montreal, Marca reports.
