That also went unpunished, and left the Manchester United manager reeling as he spoke with Sky Sports after the defeat at Old Trafford.
Herrera and Marcus Rashford replaced Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Jesse Lingard at half-time, and the Basque midfielder brought some much-needed aggression to United’s loose midfield.
“We had a few players below that level and we were made to pay”.
Speaking to the press, Mourinho complimented the youngster on his performance in the derby and was heard saying, “For me the next big game is against Feyenoord and the next game [Rashford] is going to play”.

Iheanacho reacted in lightening fashion to fire past David de Gea from close range in the 36th minute after Kevin De Bruyne’s strike clattered against the post.
“The season is just starting, we don’t lose, we learn”. “The last minute was a fantastic goal from Zlatan Ibrahimovic”.
Mourinho took responsibility for mistakes in the team set-up and, despite insisting they were not the only poor performers, suggested the duo could have come off sooner.
Asked if he was disappointed by the first half or encouraged by the second, Mourinho said: “Both”.

Having been outplayed by the visitors, United were suddenly back in the contest thanks to Ibrahimovic’s goal three minutes before the interval and, after the break, having changed their personnel, they looked a far better side.
