Manchester United on red alert, with potential Barca Superstar availability
Lionel Messi believes that this big competition with Cristiano Ronaldo was mainly created by the media.

The Brazil captain has made 11 appearances for the Blaugrana this season, scoring eight goals and assisting six more strikes.
The prospect of Messi lining up at Chelsea-who also boast Pedro, another of his former Barcelona companions-is intriguing, the thought of the forward lining up alongside Aguero at the Etihad Stadium is truly a mesmerising prospect. Have your say in the comments section below.
As reported by Sky Sports, Guillem Balague claims that Lionel Messi could leave Barcelona in the near future in a bid to avoid the controversial climate at Barcelona.
“Messi is recovering for the Madrid-Barcelona game”.
The four-time Ballon d’Or victor has been linked with a number of incredulous moves away from the Nou Camp for as long as anyone can remember but Balague, who penned the biography “Messi” along with the man himself, says that this is the closest the Argentinian has ever been to parting ways with the Catalan club.
However, Bartomeu has responded angrily to the reports about the transfer. Messi has “never been closer to leaving Barcelona”, according to Sky Sports. Plus, tax fraud allegations from the Spanish authorities against him and his father (Messi could spend up to 22 months in jail if found guilty) will have tested his resolve to remain in Spain when lucrative offers continue to pour in from England and the likes of Paris Saint-Germain elsewhere in Europe. He will need to consider if that involves negotiating a new contract or looking at pastures new.

Given their prestige in the Premier League, Manchester City could be a dark horse destination for Messi, and until they’re completely blocked out of conversations with Messi’s representatives, don’t rule them out.
