Manchester United players enjoying life under Jose Mourinho, says Michael Carrick

Since the arrival of José Mourinho at Manchester United, both the club and fans have been on a high.

Substitute Will Keane scored the first goal of the Mourinho era, tapping in after a blunder by 41-year-old goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen in the 49th minute.

Mourinho took over at the club in May after the sacking of Louis van Gaal and has embarked revitalizing the club to reclaim its former glories.

“It’s been very good”, he told MUTV.

The France global described Juve as “my team, my family, where I am playing, I am very comfortable” and added Real were a “great club” before he was asked which of the three replicas he would prefer to wear.

Manchester United fans were thrilled with Henrikh Mkhitaryan as he made his debut appearance against Wigan Athletic. “I’m not sure about that, considering where they ended up last season”, Cole said.

New signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as well as other players involved in Euro 2016, will not play against Wigan, as they’ve been afforded more time off.

Carrick added that he was delighted to have signed a new one-year contract at Old Trafford: “I’m delighted to be here”.

Mourinho has been busy coaching his squad, while also working hard to bring in new players.

It was a routine success against last season’s League One champions for Mourinho’s men, who will face sterner tests against Borussia Dortmund and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City over the next 10 days.

“I was so happy to go for him and obviously he’s happy to work with me”.
