Manchester United Refers To Chris Smalling As ‘Michael’ – Again
The French worldwide missed Tuesday’s 1-0 victory over CSKA Moscow in the Champions League due to illness and although the midfielder is still feeling the effects, he is able to train today and should be in the squad this weekend.

Evans was brought through the ranks at United by Sir Alex Ferguson and played 131 times between 2007 and 2015 before falling down the pecking order and being sold by Louis van Gaal.
“The supporters have to support the players otherwise they make it very hard for the players to play at Old Trafford”, the United manager said.
“To be honest I haven’t seen much of the games this season so it’s hard for me to see the way they’ve been playing and give my own opinion on it”. You’ve seen an attacking Manchester United creating lots of chances against a very organised team.
Van Gaal says it hasn’t been easy for the players, but feels he can deal with the critics using all his experience. When we think it is better, then we do that it is not an issue for me.
While the 30-year-old seemingly drops back to become more involved in play, there is an argument to suggest that Anthony Martial should play up front and spearhead the attack and use his pace to the team’s advantage.
“I think we have attacked for 85 minutes of the 90 minutes, so we have given a lot of entertainment and it’s dependable of the goals”, said the Dutchman.
“Even in the golden age of Manchester United they could not win at home (against CSKA) so we have made history”.
But van Gaal believes that negativity in the stands feeds into his team’s performance and would prefer if fans directed their anger towards him.
There has been a lot of criticism aimed at Van Gaal’s tactics and his team’s inability to find goals.
United need just one win from their last two group matches, at home to PSV Eindhoven and away at VfL Wolfsburg, to reach the last 16. Since then the Old Trafford outfit failed to score in three games they featured in the Premiership.
“I always say the same: he’s one of the best players in the world, one of the stars, and he’s not selfish”.

“He’s doing well”, Van Gaal told MUTV.
