Manchester United reportedly fail with record move for Paul Pogba

It is understood Juventus have now accepted Pogba wants to leave the club, although the cost of the deal has already priced Real Madrid out of the market.

Earlier, Manchester United’s world-record bid for Pogba was rejected by Juventus which came as a £85 million (€101m) package attached with £15m (€18m) of performance bonuses.

French midfield sensation Paul Pogba wants to join Manchester United, but Italian football champions Juventus have rejected a transfer fee of around 100 million euros ($110 million), while raising the price tag to 125 million euros ($137.6 million), according to media reports.

Pogba is now holidaying in Miami with his friend and Everton striker, Romelo Lukaku.

But it is Mourinho’s expensive courtship of Pogba which has developed into the most high-profile transfer saga of the close-season.

The Juventus midfielder has been heavily linked with a return to Old Trafford, having originally left in 2012, and it appears as though the cat may be out of the bag.

His arrival would complete new manager Jose Mourinho’s spending for the upcoming season.

The coach said that Pogba is not on his priority list, and negotiations with the midfielder’s agent Mino Raiola have been terminated, reports Efe.

Since joining Juventus, Pogba has gone on to win the Scudetto in each of his four seasons in Serie A, and has accumulated a total of 178 appearances.

But Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri insisted Pogba had a hard decision to make because United can’t match his club’s domestic dominance at present and also don’t have Champions League action to offer.
