Manchester United star Rashford and Ibrahimovic partnership talked up by Mourinho
Starting from the bench or not, Rashford will continue to score when it matters for Jose Mourinho.

United had 29 shots to Hull’s eight as they piled on the pressure in the second half, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Rooney and Rashford each going close before the latter grabbed his first goal of the season. It’s early days but United under Mourinho is beginning to have the same aura as Ferguson’s sides, and even scoring goals in so-called “Fergie Time”.
“We did everything to win”, Mourinho said.
“So I think it’s very good for him to be on the pitch for 90 minutes for the U21 squad”.
Mourinho has enjoyed an excellent start to life at Old Trafford, with United boasting a flawless record from three league games, and winning the Community Shield against Leicester. I think the players are growing up a lot and feel much more comfortable that way and I’m really happy with the evolution of the team.
Rashford, who burst onto the scene last season under previous boss Louis van Gaal, would have thanked elder statesman Rooney for his victor.
Rooney ghosted round Hull full-back Ahmed Elmohamady before sending over an inch-perfect cross for Rashford to tap home from two yards.
Garth Crooks is backing Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford to become a huge star at Old Trafford.
“United now have a two-week break due to the worldwide fixtures and Mourinho says whether Rashford starts the next game will depend on who returns fit”.
“It’s wonderful when I look to my side and I see the people on the bench suffering with us and then jumping for the goal”.
“I have to analyse”. “I think we changed the team”.
“The second half was like going to fight against an organised wall”.
“We know matches like that can help us win championships”. “To keep a clean sheet is very important to increase our confidence in the work we are doing”. We tried and tried and got it.
“We believe until this last minute and this is a sign of a team that want to win”, said a bullish Mourinho, in an interview with BT Sport. But they’ve ended up giving a brilliant account of themselves and despite the late disappointment against United will be delighted in having 6 points on the board already.
The manager also said in his news conference that Marouane Fellaini has picked up a back injury, which looks “bad”.

When asked about the player’s prospects of featuring in that one, Mourinho said: “He can play, but he can be on the bench”.
