Manchester United striker set to join Premier League side permanently

Keane, a former England U21 global, is relishing the chance to renew his working relationship with Tigers boss Mike Phelan, who was previously Manchester United’s assistant manager.

Keane is not a part of Mourinho’s plans for a 23-man outfield squad for this campaign, and even with Europa League and EFL Cup matches set to start next month, it appears chances would have been hard to come by for the striker.

“I’m at that age where I want to be playing as many games as possible”.

“I’m delighted to move here”, said Keane.

“I’m relishing coming to Hull”. Mike Phelan, who’s now the Tigers’ caretaker manager, knows the striker very well from their time together at Old Trafford.

Keane joined United as an 11-year-old and made his senior debut in December 2011 against Blackburn.

“I am looking forward to the evening”, he said.

Schweinsteiger says he has no intention of quitting football, and that he’s good enough for the English Premier League “if I get a fair chance”, but that “America is, of course, an option”.

Keane played against the Tigers twice during a loan spell with Preston North End last season and has been impressed with the way they have taken to life back in the top division. I still believe in my own ability.

“But as I said, it’s my absolute dream and goal (to play for United again), but we’ve got to see what the situation is”.

“With him being a centre half, hopefully I’ll be directly up against him”.

“But the only important thing is that we go there and play well to pick up a result”.
