Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney slaps WWE star Wade Barrett
Barrett called out Rooney at the beginning of the year on Twitter, and Rooney was at the Raw taping. “Which is, of course, more than can be said of Wayne Rooney and Manchester United”, Barrett said. Eventually Barrett came down to Rooney in the front row and Rooney gave him a slap across the face so vicious it knocked the big man to the ground.

“I would hate for your little boy to have to watch his own father fail”.
The Manchester United forward and England football captain was at ringside with former teammates Ryan Giggs and Darren Fletcher for World Wrestling Entertainment’s RAW event at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England on Monday, November 9 (Tuesday Manila time). “I hope @WayneRooney has the guts to meet me there”.
Before the match between Cesaro and Sheamus, Barrett – at ringside as an onlooker – spoke his usual trash, directing it at Rooney.
But Rooney laid one on the former bare-knuckle boxer during the WWE event in Manchester.
The striker’s blow had left Barrett writhing on the floor, as the frenzied crowd chanted his name. He then added: “Does anyone have Phil Bardsley’s phone number?”
Rooney responded to the taunt by threatening to unleash wrestling legend “Stone Cold” Steve Austin on his fellow Brit.
